Peer Review Process
Al-Mujtama’: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat employs a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors are concealed from reviewers and the identities of reviewers are concealed from authors throughout the evaluation process. Each manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening is reviewed by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Reviewers evaluate, among other aspects, the relevance of the community problem addressed, the novelty or innovation of the program, the appropriateness of the community engagement methodology, the level of community participation, the quality of analysis, the outcomes and impacts of the activity, program sustainability, and the manuscript’s contribution to the development of knowledge and community engagement practices. The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript rests with the editor based on the reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations. All review processes are conducted objectively, independently, constructively, and with strict confidentiality.
