Plagiarism
Each submitted manuscript is screened using similarity-detection software available to the publisher. Similarity reports are evaluated substantively by the editors and are not assessed solely on the basis of a numerical similarity score. Properly cited quotations, reference lists, standard methodological expressions, and commonly used phrases should be distinguished from plagiarism. The journal may establish internal similarity thresholds, for example, a maximum overall similarity of from a single source. However, editorial decisions will ultimately take into account the context, source, extent, and pattern of textual similarity. Manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism, inappropriate unattributed copying, or other forms of unethical text reuse may be rejected or subject to further editorial action in accordance with the journal publication ethics policy.
