General Principles

TANMIYAH: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Sosial is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record through editorial processes that are fair, transparent, independent, and accountable. Publication decisions are based on scientific quality, relevance, originality, clarity of presentation, and compliance with research and publication ethics.

     Responsibilities of Editors

• Evaluate manuscripts objectively without discrimination based on the authors background, identity, institutional affiliation, or other irrelevant considerations.
• Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and the identities of all parties involved in the peer-review process.
• Avoid conflicts of interest and transfer responsibility for handling a manuscript when a conflict of interest arises.
• Select reviewers who are competent, independent, and available to conduct a fair and timely review.
• Make editorial decisions based on the scholarly merit of the manuscript and the reviewers recommendations.
• Handle complaints, allegations of misconduct, corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern in a fair, transparent, and proportionate manner.

  Responsibilities of Reviewers

• Provide evaluations that are objective, constructive, specific, and timely.
• Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and refrain from using unpublished information contained in them for personal or professional advantage.
• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline a review assignment when independence or impartiality cannot be maintained.
• Identify relevant references that have not been cited and report any suspected substantial overlap or duplication with previously published works.
• Refrain from uploading confidential manuscripts or manuscript-related information to generative AI services or external platforms that have not been approved by the journal.

  Responsibilities of Authors

• Ensure the originality of the manuscript and the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the data presented.
• Properly acknowledge and cite all sources and obtain the necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials.
• Assign authorship only to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the work and ensure that all listed authors have approved the submitted and final versions of the manuscript.
• Disclose sources of funding, potential conflicts of interest, the use of artificial intelligence tools, and ethical approval where applicableRefrain from submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal.
• Respond to reviewers comments systematically, transparently, and honestly during the revision process.
• Promptly notify the editor if a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered after publication and cooperate in issuing an appropriate correction or other remedial action.
